Join SENDD and the Nebraska Economic Developers Association (NEDA) to learn how to support Broadband expansion in Nebraska.

 
 

Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD) has partnered with the Nebraska Economic Developers Association (NEDA) to present a broadband seminar series to provide education to local elected officials, economic developers and other stakeholders.

The series has been developed with Chris Mitchell, the Program Director for Community Broadband Networks Initiative from the Institute for Local-Self Reliance.

 

The first episode provides an introduction to broadband technology and terminology including network basics, infrastructure development, and business models.

The second episode includes a discussion of the importance of broadband through conversations with stakeholders from across the state.

The fourth episode is a Q&A format with representatives from the industry including Brad Moline - Allo Communications, Jerry Prange - Paige Wireless, and Matt Larsen - Vistabeam.

The third episode provides guidance on state and federal broadband programs as well as barriers, challenges, and solutions for broadband infrastructure deployment.
